My Story
An early experience with a dog suffering from a degenerative disorder shaped my motivation to become a veterinarian. Fast forward to 2022, I earned my Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University. My experience in general practice provided a broad perspective on animal health, but my mind often returned to that pivotal moment during my childhood -- the feeling of helplessness and the haunting question of what we could have done more. Moving toward what felt true to my mission, I pursued certifications in Canine Rehabilitation and Veterinary Acupuncture from the Canine Rehabilitation Institute, as well as Companion Animal Pain Management from the University of Tennessee.
For many pets, rehabilitation can mean the difference between a life of discomfort and one of joy and vitality. I created Sunrise Paws because I am passionate about going beyond conventional veterinary care and offering a personalized, hands-on approach to healing.
My ultimate goal is to restore or preserve your pet’s mobility and quality of life—whether that’s chasing a ball, climbing on the couch, or simply walking with less pain.
To me, rehabilitation isn’t just about recovery—it’s about empowerment.
Every session is a step toward a life your best friend can enjoy more fully.
